African Women Role Models is of particular importance to me. I remember being young and being broken hearted because the dolls did not look like me. Representation in the simplest areas count.
I cannot overstate how much impact there is to see yourself in African Women that have forged ahead before us.
Elishibah took us on a journey from ancient times to present day of notable African Women role models. She also spoke about her personal experiences interacting with African Women role models.
We spoke about the importance of having role models and what to look for in a role model. "Authenticity and a holistic view"
"Seek to understand the process of a woman's Success"
"Not all successful women are role models"
